In the heart of De Pijp, you’ll find De Waaghals, where we have been cooking with passion for lovers of botanical cuisine since 1981. For over 40 years, our restaurant has been led with dedication, and since 2017, the new generation, Eva & Martijn, have taken over to continue and further develop this special place.

At De Waaghals, everything revolves around creativity, seasonal ingredients, and surprising flavors. We work with fresh, local products as much as possible and strive for sustainability in all our processes.

Embark on a culinary journey with our 3- or 4-course surprise menu, where each dish offers a new taste experience. The menu is entirely vegan, except for the cheese platter. Our chef Henrique combines classic and modern techniques to provide you with a unique experience. To complement the meal, we serve carefully selected organic, biodynamic, and natural wines that perfectly match our dishes.
